Cocopeat
Cocopeat, also known as Coir Pith, is derived from coconut husks, is a sustainable and eco-friendly growing medium praised for its high water retention, superior aeration, and nutrient absorption. Research shows that it promotes healthier root growth, reduces soil-borne diseases, and improves overall plant performance. With a neutral pH and the ability to retain up to 10 times its weight in water, cocopeat is highly efficient in water usage. It also enhances soil structure and prevents compaction, making it ideal for various plants. As a renewable resource, cocopeat offers a sustainable alternative to traditional peat moss.
Availability
blocks come in various sizes and shapes, but seasonal changes influence their availability and pricing. During the transition from winter to summer (January to June), the production of coco husk increases, leading to a wider range of cocopeat blocks available, including sizes from 300 grams to 5 kilograms. Conversely, during the rainy season, as the weather shifts from rainy to winter (July to December), production decreases, resulting in higher prices and less variety.
